Quizkit is made by one person in the Netherlands, with help from a computer that writes well and checks badly. Which is exactly why checking is the most important part of this business.
Venues often buy their quiz from someone doing it on the side. That makes for good evenings, but also for weeks where the quiz is late, or where an answer is simply wrong and nobody can trace where it came from.
A language model writes the first draft with sources attached. Then a program fetches each source page and checks whether the quoted sentence is really there. If it is not, the question is not published. Only after that does a person look at it.
Because it comes out anyway. A competitor who prints 'written by humans' on the box has a point for as long as nobody can check what is in the box. We would rather put the checking on the box.
No questions about last week's disasters, no trick questions, no rounds that are only fun for whoever wrote them. And no songs in a quiz whose rights are not sorted.
