How it works

From ordering to the last round.

Running a quiz night should be no harder than putting a playlist on. This is everything you do, from having a pack to the winner cheering.

No account needed. You will see straight away how an evening runs.
1

Pick your evening

From the catalogue you choose a theme and a combination of games. If you are unsure, take the weekly edition: it is built for variety, from an easy opener to a hard second-to-last round.

2

Set it up

Before you start you turn on whatever suits your room: a clock per question, points off for a wrong answer, a round skipped. Everything is off by default, so doing nothing gives you the calmest version.

3

Get the screen ready

Open the presenter on the telly or projector and press full screen. No screen? Print the quizmaster script and the answer sheets, and the same evening runs on paper.

4

Play

You read out and press space. The tables write on their sheet. After each round you collect the sheets and mark them, or let the tables mark each other's — that saves you a quarter of an hour.

5

Enter the points

You type one number per team per round and the screen puts up the standings. At the end the final table rolls out on its own, winner on top.

What you need

A laptop or tablet with internet, and ideally a screen or projector. Sound helps for the music rounds but is not required. A printer is only needed if you want to play on paper.

If the internet drops

Print the pack to be safe. The script holds every question, every answer and the source, and the answer sheets are already there. An evening should not depend on a pub's wifi.

How long it takes

Six rounds run about two hours with a break. Shorter by skipping rounds, longer by adding a bonus round. Every pack shows its estimated time.
